Here is where you'll find more about me and some of the things I've done.
Empathy is really important to me in my daily life. It's not crazy or new to say the world be a better place if we all understood each other and practiced empathy more. I am a part of a club at Grand Valley called Alternative Breaks that really honed this idea (along with some mentors and faculty at GVSU). The pictures below are from a week long community service trip that I went on through Alternative Breaks.
"Everyone is an athlete." (George A. Sheehan) That's a phrase I stand by. The human body is meant to move at least a little (if you're in good health). In high school I had a life changing Track and Cross Country experience under Jacci Storey (eliteperformancesportspsychology.org). I continued working with her and completed IronMan 70.3 in Michigan last September. IronMan 70.3 is a 70 mile triathlon and the hardest thing I've ever done.
I love the unicycle! It's an underrated form of transport. I love to ride it and give other people a smile.
Personal branding is somewhat important. It's not just about how other people perceive you, or how it can create opportunities, it's about how you view yourself. I created this logo of a tardigrade because I think it represents who I am and what I believe in. Tardigrades are hardy, simple, and unique. Find more about them here.
I have a favorite food and it's the humble bagel. Infrequently I take the time to bake them because I believe there is no stronger flavor than a freshly baked bagel.
